Are your properties covered by insurance

All AKH Homes properties benefit from a building insurance policy. It is the responsibility of our residents to provide insurance cover for any personal belongings.

Do I need to pay a deposit

It will depend on your specific  circumstances. We understand that for various reasons some applicants may not have sufficient funds to pay the high deposits  most landlords or property companies demand - thats where  we are different. Many of our existing residents paid no deposit when moving into an AKH Homes property.

What should I do if I am unable to meet a rent payment when it is due

Speak to your property manager as soon as possible they will work with you to find a solution.

How will I pay my utility bills

Our rents are inclusive of all utility bills. This includes Electric,Gas,Water, TV licence and super fast Broadband.

Do I need to register for and pay council tax

No. Our rents are fully inclusive.

If my circumstances change can I end my tenancy early

We understand that circumstances and living situations can change unexpectedly and your property manager will work with you agree an early release from your contract.

Will the property be clean when I move in

Yes. AKH Homes prides itself on how it maintains and looks after all its properties.

A weekly cleaning service is provided to all communal areas.

Are the properties covered by safety certificates

Yes. All our properties are inspected on a regular basis to ensure they are fully compliant. This includes a Gas Safety Check, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), Fire Extinguisher and Fire Detection System.
